Biography

Jasmin Flores is a freelance documentary photographer and multimedia artist living and working  in the Washington, D.C. area. She is a wife, mother, army veteran and avid reader. She has a B.S.  in communications from the University of Miami and is two months shy of receiving her M.A. in New Media Photojournalism from The George Washington University’s Corcoran School of the Arts. 

 

Her passion for photography and storytelling began at an early age. She finds her inspiration from daily life, and her community. Working under the premise that everyone has a story, she enjoys navigating the subtle nuances of everyday life.

Her personal ongoing projects focus on themes of class, race, and community. She believes in the power of this medium and uses her camera to connect with the world around her.

In her free time, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and two children.
